How the calculation works

Entering information
For each of the nine steps, select the option that matches the IVF situation being considered. It may describe your current circumstances or a hypothetical situation. Some steps may require clinical information, such as the cause of infertility or the proposed medication. After all nine steps are completed, the estimated chance of a live birth resulting from an IVF cycle will be calculated.

Recalculation
After completing the fields, you can change any selection, for example choose a different age, use donor eggs instead of your own, or change the medication. Every change is reflected in the estimated percentage immediately.

Important notes
If you think you selected an incorrect option, use the reset button and start the calculation again.
Make sure your answers for steps 5 through 7 are consistent. For example, if this is the first IVF cycle, select no previous unsuccessful IVF attempts in step 6 and one of the no previous IVF options in step 7.
