In honor of the 25th anniversary of the first IVF laboratory of Kazakhstan “Ecomed”

In 2020, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared the “Year of the Volunteer,” encouraging charitable initiatives and setting an example of prioritizing meaningful assistance to people in need in Kazakhstan over lavish celebrations and unnecessary events.

Following this inspiring example, Ecomed, Kazakhstan’s first IVF laboratory, has decided to provide charitable support to couples facing infertility.

This is a particularly pressing issue in Kazakhstan, where approximately 20,000 couples experience infertility each year. Around 8,000 of them require assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including in vitro fertilization (IVF), which is used when pregnancy cannot be achieved through other treatment methods.

Overall, the prevalence of infertility among couples in Kazakhstan is 15%. According to the WHO, infertility at this level represents a significant public health concern because of its impact on the country’s demographic indicators.

Following an established tradition, the leading human reproduction clinic Ecomed is the only clinic in Kazakhstan and Central Asia that annually — and especially during its anniversary years — launches charitable programs, provides additional discounts, and offers free services and consultations to support couples undergoing infertility treatment whose greatest dream is to become parents.

As the Head of State noted:

“According to the UN, volunteering contributes more than $400 billion to the global economy every year. Volunteering is not simply unpaid work; it reflects citizens’ sense of responsibility and their willingness to change the world for the better. It is not only nature that needs our attention and care, but also the people around us.”

In this regard, the Ecomed network of clinics, represented by its Scientific Director, Doctor of Biological Sciences, founder of IVF in Kazakhstan, and the specialist behind the birth of Kazakhstan’s first IVF baby, Saltanat Berdenovna Baikoshkarova, announces a series of charitable programs aimed at supporting couples experiencing infertility:

✅ 100 couples will receive a discount on a stimulated-cycle IVF program in Almaty.

✅ For an entire month, leading reproductive medicine specialists will provide free initial consultations at all Ecomed human reproduction clinics across Kazakhstan.

✅ All Ecomed patients who have undergone two or more unsuccessful IVF attempts will receive a 50% discount on their next IVF program.

✅ 25 couples will receive IVF programs free of charge.

✅ Leading reproductive medicine specialists will conduct free outreach consultations throughout Kazakhstan for patients experiencing infertility.
